Our History
The Urgent Care EMS Response Team was founded by Jeffrey and Joshua, two leaders who saw a heartbreaking reality in West Virginia: families facing crisis were being told to “wait until morning” for help. Children were going to bed hungry. Parents were struggling without clothing, hygiene items, or basic essentials. Emergencies were happening at night, on weekends, and during holidays — but support systems weren’t available.
Jeff and Joshua refused to accept that. Together, they created a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization built on one simple belief: No family in crisis should ever be left waiting for help. What began as two founders responding to urgent needs with compassion and determination has grown into a 24/7/365 emergency‑support program. Today, the Urgent Care EMS Response Team delivers food, clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, and other essential accessories directly to families the moment a crisis occurs — not the next day. Their vision was bold: a nonprofit that operates with the speed and reliability of an emergency service, but with the heart and compassion of a community‑driven mission. That vision is now a lifeline for families across West Virginia.
