When Others Wait, We Respond

Emergency Response Program for Struggling and Homeless Youth

At UCEMSRT, we recognize that youth homelessness and family instability do not operate on a schedule. Crises can happen at any time—during the evening, on weekends, during school breaks, or in the middle of the night when traditional support services may be unavailable.

Our Emergency Response Program was created to provide immediate assistance to youth and young adults facing homelessness, housing instability, food insecurity, or other urgent challenges. Through a compassionate, youth-centered approach, UCEMSRT works to meet basic needs quickly while connecting young people to long-term resources and support systems.

When a youth is identified as being at risk, couch surfing, living in an unsafe environment, sleeping in a vehicle, staying in temporary accommodations, or experiencing homelessness, our team responds by assessing immediate needs and providing essential resources such as emergency food, hygiene products, clothing, shoes, blankets, school supplies, transportation assistance, and referrals to community partners.

Our goal is simple: no young person should have to face a crisis alone.

Beyond emergency assistance, UCEMSRT helps connect youth to educational support, identification assistance, employment resources, housing programs, healthcare providers, counseling services, and other community resources that can help them move toward stability and self-sufficiency.

The UCEMS Emergency Response Program serves as a bridge between crisis and hope, ensuring that vulnerable youth receive immediate support while building a pathway toward a brighter future.

Whether a young person needs a meal, clean clothing, a safe place to connect with resources, or guidance through a difficult situation, UCEMSRT is committed to responding with dignity, compassion, and urgency.

Because every young person deserves safety, support, and the opportunity to succeed.
