Youth Action Board

Youth Action Board

Your Voice. Your Experience. Your Future.

The Youth Action Board is more than just a committee—it's a movement led by young people who are passionate about creating real change in their communities.

We're looking for youth and young adults ages 12–24 who want to make a difference, share their ideas, develop leadership skills, and help shape programs and services that impact the lives of young people across West Virginia.

Whether you've experienced homelessness, couch surfing, housing instability, foster care, or other life challenges—or simply want to be part of the solution—your voice matters.

As a member of the Youth Action Board, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Influence programs and services designed for youth
• Meet community leaders and decision-makers
• Advocate for change in housing, education, employment, and mental health services
• Develop leadership, communication, and public speaking skills
• Help plan events and awareness campaigns
• Connect with other young leaders from across West Virginia
• Turn your experiences and ideas into meaningful action

At UCEMSRT, we believe the people closest to the challenges are often closest to the solutions. That's why we are committed to ensuring young people have a seat at the table and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

The Youth Action Board is a place where your story can inspire change, your ideas can become reality, and your leadership can help build a brighter future for youth throughout West Virginia.

Don't just talk about change—be part of creating it.

Join the Youth Action Board and help us build stronger communities, create new opportunities, and ensure every young person has the support they need to succeed.
